  • Fly Tying and Fly Fishing/Fly Casting Classes -- Women's Flyfishing® will once again offer a salmon fly tying class in January and fly fishing classes in April, May, & June 2009. Come and learn to flyfish or to tie our favorite Alaskan patterns. We provide all the equipment. Contact us for registration and information. In 2009, fly fishing classes will also be offered in Soldotna, and Kodiak..
  • Single day drive-to or fly-out float tubing -- We get out on the lakes in our float tubes every chance we get, so join us for a day of relaxing fishing. Either go tubing on the specific dates listed below, or contact us to schedule a custom day just for you or your group.

  • Fly Fish Argentina! Join us for our inaugural trip to South America and fabulous, fish-filled Argentina.   • The Great Alaska Sportsman Show will take place in Anchorage, April 2-5, 2009. It’s the social event of the spring season in Alaska. There’ll be speakers, new gear, fly ting and much more. I’ll be doing casting clinics for women and girls, tying flies, doing slide shows, and     signing books at the show.  See www.auroraproductions.net/sportman.html for details of the   2009 show.

  • Our 13th annual Baja Extravaganza for saltwater fly fishing in Mexico will take place  April  7-13, 2009 at the lovely, ocean-side Buena Vista Beach Resort www.hotelbuenavista.com/index.html  near East Cape on the azure Sea of Cortez.     Fish for sockeye salmon, rainbow trout, and Arctic grayling and watch the bears in a world-renowned setting in Katmai National Park.   • Chena River Grayling-Try your hand at guided sdry fly and nymph fishing for Arctic grayling    on the lovely Chena or Chatanika Rivers near Fairbanks. July 1, 2 or 3, 2009.  Cost is $185    per day. We’ll provide instruction, gear, equipment, and flies for the day. Camping available.

  • (New for 2009!) Nenana Grayling & Float Tubing for Rainbows July 6-8 or 6-9, 2009

    This trip will take you to a remote cabin with a wonderful Arctic grayling spring creek right out in front. You can also add a day of float tubing for rainbows so you can fish both creek and lake and catch two different species of fish on the same trip. Cabin is fully equipped with bunks, sleeping bags & pads, cooking facilities, woodstove, utensils, and propane lights.

    We’ll start out from the town of Nenana on the Parks Highway on the evening of July 6th where we’ll meet our boat transport to the cabin. Then, we can fish for lots and lots of feisty Arctic grayling that evening and all day July 7 & 8th before we’re picked up for the return trip to Nenana early evening of the 8th.Trip includes two nights cabin, one night dinner, guided fishing, equipment, flies, & transport. If you want to also fish a lake, continue on with us on July 9th for some fun float tubing for rainbow trout nearby. We’ll provide all the gear, equipment & flies for the tubing as well.     One of my favorite trips! We'll fish the remote and lovely Tangle Lakes area and wander the picturesque road to other choice spots for non-stop Arctic grayling fishing with dry flies and nymphs.   • (New for 2009!) Rocky River Salmon Fishing August 26-31, 2009

    The Rocky River is tucked away in the Kenai Peninsula wilderness across the bay from Homer, AK. Our hosts, the Rocky River Sportsmen’s Lodge http://alaska-kenai-peninsula-fishing.com/fishing.html is a small lodge (just 12 guests at a time) that specializes in Alaska’s late summer pink, chum, and silver salmon fishing, along with some great fishing for Dolly Varden char. The lodge holds a licensing agreement for miles of river access, so guests have the fishing virtually to themselves. Remote though not rustic, the main lodge and double cabins provide a relaxed atmosphere with great food and a hot shower, as well as easy access to the river. Trip includes five days guided fishing, five nights lodging, all meals instruction, equipment and flies as well as transportation from Port Graham and on the river each day. (Transportation to Port Graham not included.) We’ll leave from Homer to Pt. Graham early in the morning on the 26th and then return early in the morning of the 31st. Come along.
