Annual Fly Fishing School for Women
at Orca Adventure Lodge

July 17 - 22, 2017

Annual Flyfishing School for WomenCordova Alaska - We'll have you casting both light and heavy-weight fly rods, hooking, playing, landing and releasing fish, tying knots and constructing leaders, wading safely, and much, much more. We'll fish for pink and chum salmon as well as Dolly Varden char and cutthroat trout.

Cost: $2,450 (double occupancy at the Orca Adventure Lodge). Price includes the complete school, gear, equipment and flies, four nights lodging (double occupancy), all the fantastic meals, five nights and four days guided fishing including one fly-out fishing day into glacier-studded Prince William Sound.

Whether you are a neophyte or a more experienced fly fisher, the schools will enable you to master equipment and techniques that are useful for all species of fish, no matter where you wet a line. You'll learn about and use both heavy and light weight fly rods, reels, and lines for salmon, rainbow trout,  and Dolly Varden char. We'll teach you knot tying, leader construction, wading, and, of course, casting, and best of all, that will happen on-the-water. You actually fish in our schools, and catch!

The schools are four days in length. The cost of the course covers everything: all your meals and lodging, the complete school, rods, reels, lines, and flies and the use of the Lodge's boats and guides. You will need to have your own chest-high waders and boots without felt soles and your raincoat.

All the instruction is done by women, and there is plenty of personal attention for the six women in attendance. The absolutely outstanding meals are served family style in the main lodge and the lodge is completely modern and comfortable - especially inviting after a long day on the water!
