Beginning Fly Fishing Classes

2014 Flyfishing Classes

Students who take the Beginning Fly Fishing Classes will receive a $25 discount on all of the 2017 guided trips except for the float tubing and Single Day trips.

This class provides hands-on instruction on the following topics in a noncompetitive, small group environment. All equipment is provided.

  • Selecting proper equipment for different types of fish

  • Selecting the right size and type of fly for different types of fishing

  • Tying three essential knots and constructing leaders

  • Overhead casting, side arm casting, and roll casting

  • Assembling the necessary equipment for your vest

  • Landing and releasing fish unharmed and

  • Locating places to go flyfishing.

Each beginning class is 9-hrs long. All equipment is provided.

Three-day classes
6 - 9p.m. all three evenings.

Two-day classes
Fri. 6 - 9 PM & Sat. 8:30 AM - 5 PM or 
Sun. 8:30 AM - 5 PM & Mon. 6 - 9 PM
